Teachers serve as positive role models and provide care that is supportive, nurturing, warm and responsive to each child's individual needs. SHELL'S respect parents as the primary and most important provider of care and nurturer, and we believe parents and teachers are partners in children's care and education. Teachers are here to provide a safe, warm, nurturing, supportive and responsive atmosphere for the children while being a positive role model. Parents and teachers must communicate together in order to inspire life long learners. Parents are encouraged to "get to know" their child's teachers through daily communications.
All employees at SHELL'S are required to undergo an extensive background investigation, which consists of state and federal fingerprinting, and adult and child abuse checks in order to insure the safety of the children. Employees are required to maintain First Aid, CPR and medication certification in addition to taking 18 hours per year training in Early Childhood Education.
